Well it's been a long week of not being able to see. I had laser surgery last Thursday and was a bit blind till today. Had my eyes checked again and I'm now seeing 20/30. Hopefully I'll be able to see perfectly by the end of the week. I was scared for the first 4 days because I was on pain medicine and couldn't see my hand in front of my face. I must say that's why I wanted to have lasik done, but unfortunately I wasn't a candidate for it. So here's how it went for the last 5 days

Thursday-surgery at 8am. took all of 10 minuets of staring at a red light and I was done.
Thursday evening-lots of drops and pain medication
Friday-had to brave the ice to go to my doctor for the one day follow-up appt. Still blind and on serious pain meds. Regretting having the surgery done big time
Saturday- clearing up on and off but still can't see...more drops in my eyes can't wash or touch my face. Another trip in the ice to see the doctor to make sure my eyes are healing well
Sunday-still can't see...another trip to the doctor in the ice again. He removed my bandage contact lenses so I don't need the pain meds anymore. I feel much better without those dry bandages on.

Monday-no doctor visit today but I had to go to work and couldn't see the computer at all.

Tuesday- somebody must have flipped a switch because I can see clearly now. Another doctor's appointment. Seeing clear enough to drive. But not at night. It's way too blurry for night vision.

And that's were I am after 5 days. I must say I wouldn't recommend PRK for those people who can have Lasik.
