- Blogs - Friday, January 26, 2007 I thought of something the other day when I watched "What the Bleep is Reality" in one of my classes. The deaf actress was talking to herself out loud. I wondered to myself why she would talk to herself out loud? She's deaf. Now I talk to myself out loud, but it's just to hear myself talk. So to make a long story short it made me think of blogs. Why do we keep these online diaries when most of the time only our friends read them? Most of the things I write on here no one cares about and most likely won't even read. But just like the deaf woman who talked to herself, it just makes us feel better. Just like the age old proverb "if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around, does it still make a noise?" Yes the noise still happens and yes we still write endlessly in our blogs hoping just like the tree that someone may be around to here us.
